Trogir & Split

Trogir is a small urban island linked to the mainland by a bridge, its old town ringed by walls and listed by UNESCO. Walking its stone streets you meet Romanesque palaces, loggias and the cathedral of St. Lawrence. Split, a little further on, guards the Palace of Diocletian, a Roman complex that is still the living heart of the city.

In Trogir time runs slow: shaded squares, small workshops and a waterfront perfect for a pause. Split is livelier, with its market, the cafes under the colonnades and the famous Riva facing the harbour. The two cities can be visited in the same day, calmly and without rushing.

The distance from the villa allows an easy morning departure and an afternoon return. If you wish you can give more time to Split, among museums, galleries and market food. The evening at the villa, with the pool and a quiet dinner, closes the day in the best way.
