Historic Šibenik

Šibenik is a city of pale stone built around a sheltered bay, a short drive from the villa. Its old town, a UNESCO heritage site, is explored on foot through narrow lanes, small squares and stairways climbing toward the fortress. The cathedral of St. James, entirely in stone, is the heart and symbol of the city.

As you walk you discover ancient churches, Venetian palaces and small artisan workshops. The cafe terraces offer a shaded pause, while the waterfront invites a slow stroll past the boats. The afternoon light on the pale stone makes every corner particularly photogenic.

Climbing to the fortress rewards you with a wide view over the bay and the islands opening toward the horizon. The city is easily visited in half a day, with time for a seafood dinner among the lanes. Back at the villa, the pool at sunset closes the day in style.
